Services and Benefits

GARDENING AND GARDENING LESSONS

We have a south-facing terrace with space for potted plants, where we’d like to grow ornamental and aromatic plants, and a north-facing balcony that would look much better with some flowers. Unfortunately, we have no gardening experience! We’d love someone to take a look at the few plants we have, show us how to care for them, advise us on what kinds of plants to add, and teach us the basics from scratch. We’d also really appreciate advice on which tools to buy and how to choose new pots.

Furniture

OUTDOOR STONE OR CONCRETE WASHBASIN

We’re looking for the perfect vintage laundry sink for our terrace, and we’re happy to wait until we find the right one. Please send photos and exact measurements of the item you’re offering so we can assess it. We realise that transportation may cost more than the sink itself! Depending on the price of a new sink that we like, we’d offer between two nights in high season and one week in low season in exchange for an item that is: - in excellent condition - delivered to our address - carried up to the first floor at your expense If we have to arrange or cover some or all of the delivery and/or carrying, we’ll offer fewer nights. An especially valuable item may be worth more, as long as it’s the right one for us. We’ll also consider a laundry sink that isn’t in excellent condition, provided it’s still in working order.

Services and Benefits

PAINTING THE RAILING

We have approximately 14 linear meters of metal terrace railing that needs repainting, perhaps with coloured enamel paint.

The property

Notice: except during yearly Barter Week, we are open to bartering exclusively for our wish-list items.

In the heart of Viareggio, just a short walk from the train station, we offer a room with a private bathroom located within a section of our main house, perfect for a couple or a small family.

The location is especially convenient for experiencing Viareggio and getting around without a car. Its proximity to the station also makes it easy to reach Pisa, Lucca, the towns of Eastern Liguria, and other destinations in Tuscany.

The room is air-conditioned for both summer and winter and includes a refrigerator and a coffee maker. Although there is no kitchen, the central location provides easy access to cafés, restaurants, and numerous amenities nearby.

Pets are allowed upon request. Access to the room requires climbing stairs, so this accommodation may not be suitable for individuals with mobility issues.
