The property
In the heart of a serene mountain village, Grandfather Ludovico welcomes guests to a vacation home converted from a residence dating back to 1840, which has been completely renovated in 2024. Once the home of the family’s grandparents and great-grandparents, it has now been transformed into an authentic retreat designed to provide the warmth and comforts of home while preserving its original charm. The historic furnishings have been retained, except for the bedrooms and bathrooms, which now offer functional and modern spaces.
The house spans two floors with independent entrances. The ground floor, which is barrier-free, features a living area with a kitchen and a lounge equipped with a double sofa bed, a single bedroom, and a bathroom. Upstairs, there are three bedrooms – one with a private bathroom, one with a queen-sized bed, and another with four single beds – as well as an additional bathroom, a well-equipped kitchen, and a living room with a fireplace. Heating is provided by fangoil systems, ideal for the mountain climate.
Surrounded by greenery, the area encourages hiking and biking, with the option of local guides. The surroundings offer beautiful natural landscapes and easy access to tourist destinations such as Roccaraso, Rivisondoli, Pescasseroli, Isernia, and Agnone. The village has essential services like grocery stores, bars, and a restaurant, as well as two electric car charging stations. Guests can also enjoy a 10% discount at two affiliated restaurants.
Adding to the warm atmosphere is Mrs. Maria, who graciously welcomes each visitor and is available to assist with any needs.
