La Casa dei Tigli

Nestled in the heart of the valley at the foot of Assisi, La Casa dei Tigli welcomes its guests in a meticulously restored ancient Umbrian farmhouse, designed to maintain its architectural identity and enhance its authenticity. The ambiance exudes warmth and sincerity, reflecting family traditions where every detail narrates the history of the area: vintage furniture, original materials, and inviting, well-kept spaces. Its flat location, right in the center of the region, allows for easy exploration of key attractions, from Perugia to Spello, and from Bevagna to Spoleto. Adding to the experience is the warm hospitality of the young owner and her family, always eager to share advice, itineraries, and little secrets of the region, along with a breakfast that delights every morning with fresh, homemade pastries.

We are in Cannara, situated between the banks of the Topino River and the gentle hills of Umbria. This area is rich in historical and spiritual significance related to Saint Francis: from the "Tugurio," where the saint would retreat for prayer, to the site of the Sermon to the Birds in the Piandarca area, accessible via a nature walk. The Roman ruins of Urvinum Hortense and the village of Collemancio complete a landscape of rare beauty, perfect for exploration, even by bicycle, thanks to the proximity to the Assisi-Spoleto cycle path and the numerous trails that wind through the surrounding countryside and woods.
