Services and Benefits

PAINTING AND CARPENTRY WORK

We’re looking for a painter and/or skilled carpenter for a work-for-accommodation exchange. We’re renovating our holiday apartment in Sondrio and are looking for experienced people to carry out a few improvement projects. Painting: repainting and freshening up some rooms in the apartment. Carpentry: we’re looking for a craftsperson who can design and build made-to-measure enclosures using panels, cabinet doors and doors, to make some areas of the apartment more functional and polished. In exchange, we offer a free stay, for up to two people. The length of the stay will be agreed based on the type and scope of the work. We can purchase the necessary materials by prior arrangement. We prefer applicants with hands-on experience in the work involved. Before making an exchange, we’ll agree together on the tasks, schedule, materials and number of nights. We’re happy to consider the two offers separately: painting only or carpentry only.

Barter accepted all year round

The property

Our establishment is located on the most beautiful and historic street in Sondrio, next to a lively square featuring fountains, benches, green areas, and play spaces for children, as well as ice cream shops and stores. On Wednesday and Saturday mornings, you can enjoy a diverse market right outside the apartment. Transportation options, including trains, buses, and taxis, are conveniently located just across from the property. Despite the central location, the area remains quiet at night, ensuring a peaceful rest. The rooms, with their large windows, provide beautiful natural light that enhances the vibrant atmosphere of the city and the surrounding mountains.

Thanks to its strategic location, the apartment is well-connected to all local services, offices, and attractions, including the renowned ski resorts of Valtellina. The interiors are spacious and have been recently renovated, featuring large sunny balconies perfect for relaxation. Additionally, the property is affiliated with a restaurant where you can enjoy a delicious breakfast and, upon request, opt for a half-board package that includes lunch as well.

We pay special attention to the sanitization of the spaces: we use an ozone machine to purify the air before and after your stay, and high-temperature dry steam cleaning (+185°C) for surface cleaning, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment.

We are here to make your stay in Sondrio an unforgettable experience, offering discretion and assistance. The central location makes the apartment ideal for both business travelers and those looking to explore the many local attractions. Restaurants, cinemas, pubs, and supermarkets are all within a short walking distance.
