In the heart of the quaint village of Durazzano, nestled between Benevento and Caserta, Antonia Abbatiello's project comes to life: Casa Vittoria. A former lawyer and mother of three daughters, Antonia decided to leave her legal career to pursue a dream rooted in the aromas of her grandmother's cooking, the memories of local traditions, and the desire to provide genuine hospitality.
The two-story stone building is located in the historic center, surrounded by ancient palaces and narrow streets that lead to trails and woodlands. The three rooms, simply furnished and equipped with a kitchenette and terrace, are always in high demand. Guests are welcomed with the warmth of a true home, surrounded by the scents of homemade jams, freshly baked cookies, and family stories. Each morning, breakfast transforms into a journey through authentic flavors: tarts, fennel taralli, bread, and sweets made with ingredients from the family farm, such as fruit preserves, hazelnuts, and yellow verneteca tomatoes. The table is completed with local cured meats, caciocavallo cheese, and extra virgin olive oil produced just a few kilometers away.
Casa Vittoria is not merely a place to stay; it is a small ecosystem of tradition and well-being. Visitors come to enjoy dishes that evoke memories—such as San Biagio meatballs, stuffed peppers, and eggplant parmesan—or to take a cooking class, stroll through the woods, purchase local delicacies, or simply breathe in the rare, homely atmosphere.
