Hi, I'm Sylvia Forgia

I will be happy to host you for FREE in my property in exchange for goods or services.
Here are my barter wishes:

The property

Nestled at the foot of the Majella, at an elevation of 550 meters above sea level in the municipality of Abbateggio, the Masseria Majella Bed and Breakfast offers an unparalleled natural view that stretches from the Apennine Mountains to the Adriatic coast, which can sometimes be seen with the naked eye. The establishment has been transformed from a historic stone farmhouse dating back to 1930 and is situated in the countryside, just 1 km from the historic center of Roccamorice, famous for its Celestine hermitages, and a short walk from the Paleolithic village of Valle Giumentina, as well as being in close proximity to the Caramanico thermal baths.

The B&B features two double rooms, each equipped with a bunk bed, making them perfect for families with children. The rooms are spacious, well-furnished, and include all the necessary amenities for a relaxing stay, such as private bathrooms and independent heating.

The surrounding area is rich in natural beauty that is worth exploring. Personally, I enjoy long walks along the charming trails, which I always recommend to my guests. Every morning, I prepare a variety of hearty breakfasts featuring local products to delight them. The property also includes a small library with books in Italian and French, ideal for those who wish to read in a peaceful environment surrounded by nature. Starting next summer, guests will also be able to unwind in the newly constructed swimming pool.

Among the sites to visit are several hermitages, such as the Hermitage of Santo Spirito a Majella and the Hermitage of San Bartolomeo in Legio, both in Roccamorice, as well as the Hermitage of San Giovanni all’Orfento in Caramanico and the Hermitage of Sant’Onofrio al Morrone in Sulmona. There are also abbeys, such as the Abbey of San Clemente a Casauria and the Abbey of San Liberatore a Majella, along with the archaeological site of Valle Giumentina, which dates back to the Paleolithic era. Masseria Majella serves as an ideal starting point for discovering these local wonders.
